Tidal Bore Festival (Pesta Benak) 2019

SRI AMAN – Sarawak’s iconic event, the Pesta Benak or Tidal Bore festival, will be  held on September 27 – 29 in Bandar Sri Aman.

Centered around the natural phenomenon where water rushes up the Batang Lupar River causing waves as high as three meters and this phenomenon attracts local and international surfers.

The three-day event features longboat paddling competitions and also showcases talents such as singing, water sports and also food and trade fairs with nightly entertainment.
