‘Silver Shadow’ Cruise with 598 Passengers & Crew Arrives in Kuching
KUCHING – Sarawak welcomed its first cruise ship this year from Silver Sea Cruises, US enroute to Hong Kong named “Silver Shadow Cruise” anchored at Senari Port on Monday 25th March 2024 at 6.15AM, bringing 296 passengers for a brief visit to Sarawak.
The passengers, who are mostly from the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Australia, Switzerland, France, Italy and Austria, were given a warm traditional garlanding welcome before going for their shore excursions to Bako National Park, Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, Sarawak Cultural Village, Borneo Cultures Museum and Panoramic Kuching City Tour.
The ship will leave Kuching later today to sail to its next destination in Kota Kinabalu. Other destinations also include Saigon and Da Nang in Vietnam before it is scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong on 4th April 2024.
The “Silver Shadow Cruise” is operated by Silver Sea Cruises that is based in the USA with 302 crew members on board. The 10-deck ship has 194 staterooms, 3 restaurants, 7 lounges and bars, plus other facilities which can accommodate maximum 466 passengers.
