Hornbill Makes A Presence In The Land Of The Merlion

SINGAPORE – Sarawak has firm plans to increase its footprint in the Lion City with the setting up of the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS).

STATOS is one of strategies undertaken by Sarawak State Government to explore the global market, hence to bring in more investments, promote trade and attract more tourists to Sarawak.

The office will serve as a one-stop centre for investment and businesses as well as tourism players in Singapore for those want to know more about Sarawak. It will also be the hub of communication between exporters and importers from Sarawak and Business communities in Singapore.

STATOS will facilitate Sarawak tourism through several ways such as creating complete database on Sarawak tourism products and activities by undertaking analysis on tourism trends and tourist preference as well as expenditure patterns in Singapore and globally.

STATOS was launched by Sarawak Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Johari Tun Openg on June 20, and is located at 80, Robinson Road, Singapore with its office hours from 9.00am to 6.00pm on Monday to Friday,
